Maybe May will bring some beautiful flowers!

The forecast for May is insane, have you heard that on May 3rd, it's supposed to be 27C? We seem to have skipped spring, and maybe are going straight into summer? But don't be fooled, it's too early to plant the gardens and put out the flowers just yet. We will get more spring snow, we can almost bank on that. :)
May sees us getting ready for lots of outside class time, though, and we want to make sure that everyone has a hat provided to keep here at school for those super sunny days. Please send one in for your child. We do put sunscreen on whenever we go out, so if your student comes home smelling like summer, that will be why!
Things to note for May are that the staff meeting is on May 12, so that's an early dismissal day, and remember not to send a lunch. Then it's a long weekend from Friday, May 16th to Monday, May 19th, as we have Teacher Prep on the 16th and it's our Victoria Day statutory holiday on the 19th.
On May 23rd is our Special Colors Spirit Day - so please remember to dress in tune with your child's class colors!

Junior - Green Senior - Red
Note: There is no swimming on May 30th, as the pool is undergoing maintenance at that time.
